I was born in Arizona June 14, 1994. My parents worked at the fields cutting fruits and vegetable when they lived in Arizona. When i was old enough my parents took me back to Oaxaca, Mexico where my parents are from. Then they left me there with my older sister and two brothers with my grandparent while my parent and little sister (who was just a baby then) went back to the United States to work and send us money. I remember living in my hometown and how it was very isolated from everything else in the world. It was also really small that literally everyone knew each other. We lived there with my grandparents for two years and eventually my parents came back with my little sister. Then we lived together for 6 more years in Mexico and i was able to go to school and everything. But my mom decided to give us a better life so she brought us to Arizona where i would eventually live till right now. Since it was my first time going really far from my home in Mexico everything was so different and it was a new experience. I also had to learn to speak English since i only knew to talk Spanish. school was very torturing since each time the teacher would talked i had no idea what she was saying so i become very scare. I was also a shy and quiet kid and that didn't help either. But with some nice teacher and with the support of my parents i was able to learn to speak English. That was a turning point in my life where I left behind my old ways of living in Mexico to coming into the real world and facing lots of challenges. I had to learn lots of new things and become strong and independent to make my parents proud but also make myself proud. Then i just tried my best at school and thought of the reason why my parent brought me here. Now I'm a senior at chandler high school and also going to college on summer and weekends during school years.
